Technology & Results

Eye Associates utilizes the latest equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease.

Our retina and glaucoma lasers are located on site, allowing us to treat these conditions promptly. The Argon laser is used to treat retinal holes/tears, proliferative diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal conditions. The yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) laser is used to treat secondary membranes following cataract surgery and for narrow angle glaucoma. The selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) laser is utilized for glaucoma management in the office. The B-Scan Ultrasound is utilized for our patients with retinal disease.

Advanced diagnostic equipment, including the Humphrey visual field testing and Heidelberg Retina Tomograph (HRT) is available for our glaucoma patients. Fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, Fundus Autofluorescence, Preferential Hyperacuity Testing, Spectral Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and the B-Scan Ultrasound are utilized for our patients with retinal disease. Also, corneal topography, IOL master, and the Holladay IOL Consultant is utilized for patients with cataracts or corneal conditions.

Refractive surgery is customized with the VISX STAR S4 laser and IntraLASE technology. Premium lens implants are used in cataract surgery. The ORA intraoperative wavefront aberrometer is used for custom lens calculation in cataract surgery. Endocyclophotocoagulation (ECP) is utilized for glaucoma management at the same time as cataract surgery.

At Eye Associates, we use state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment because we are dedicated to helping patients enjoy a lifetime of the best possible vision.
