Dr. David Gendelman earned his doctorate at the Yale University School of Medicine after attending Amherst College. His residency in ophthalmology was completed at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He also completed a retina-vitreous fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard Medical School. He was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1986 and was recertified in 2005. His areas of interest include diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.Phillip Gendelman, M.D.
Dr. Phillip Gendelman also attended Amherst College and Yale University School of Medicine before becoming a resident in ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1986 and was recertified in 2005. He has a special interest in the evaluation and treatment of glaucoma.Robert Kwon, M.D.
Dr Robert Kwon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree as well as a Doctorate of Medicine at Northwestern University . He went on to complete a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Department of Ophthalmology . He also completed a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery with the Price Vision Group in Indianapolis. He has a special interest in premium intraocular implants for presbyopia as well as DSAEK surgery .
Robin Steinberg, M.D.
Dr. Robin Steinberg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Smith College and a Doctorate of Medicine at Columbia University before completing a residency in ophthalmology at Tufts New England Medical Center. Dr. Steinberg was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1986 and was recertified in 2005.She has a special interest in neurology.Deborah Zuckerman, M.D.
Dr. Deborah Zuckerman studied at Yale University and completed a residency in neuro-ophthalmology at Tufts New England Medical Center. She also completed a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. She was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1988 and was recertified in 2005. Her area of special interest is pediatric ophthalmology.Ioannis Glavas, M.D.
Dr. Ioannis Glavas earned his doctorate at the University of Athens School of Medicine in Athens, Greece, and completed an ophthalmology residency at New York University Medical School and the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York. He has also completed two oculoplastic fellowships, one at the New England Eye Center, Tufts Medical School in Boston and another with Stephen Bosniak, M.D., F.A.C.S., at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He became a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology in June of 2005 and has a special interest in surgery of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system, as well as facial cosmetic surgery and BOTOX® treatments.Jonathan Talamo, M.D.
Dr. John Talamo attended Cornell University and Johns Hopkins Medical School. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and a clinical fellowship in ophthalmology, cornea, and external disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School in Boston. He was board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1991 and his special area of interest is corneal and refractive surgery.Robert Johnson, O.D.
Dr. Robert Johnson studied at the Suffolk University New England College of Optometry and completed his residency in primary care optometry at Eye Associates, P.C. He is licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and has a special interest in contact lenses.Rodney Immerman, O.D.
Dr. Rodney Immerman graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in biology before going on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in visual science and a doctorate in optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry. His area of special interest is the evaluation and treatment of low vision.Alec Smail, O.D.
Dr. Alec Smail studied at the University of Manchester, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and the New England College of Optometry before joining our practice. He is licensed in the state of Massachusetts and has a special interest in contact lenses.Contact Eye Associates
